Manolis Karampinis (MSc. Chemical Engineer) is a research associate at Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) since 2006. His main field is solid biofuels mobilization and utilization, especially focusing on under-utilized resources, such as agrobiomass. He is currently involved in several Horizon 2020 projects: BIOmasud Plus on the development of a quality certification scheme for Mediterranean biofuels, uP_running for the promotion of energetic use of agricultural prunings and plantation removal biomass and AGROinLOG related to the development of Integrated Biomass Logistics Centers based on existing agro-industries. Mr. Karampinis will also coordinate the H2020 AgroBioHeat project (starting January 2019) which will focus on the promotion of heating solutions based on agrobiomass in European rural areas.
